Hi, I’M JESSICA OUGHTON, LCSW.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the Greensboro area. I hold a Bachelor’s in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Master’s from the joint program of North Carolina A&T and University of North Carolina at Greensboro. This is where I developed a strong foundation in clinical social work and a passion for helping people navigate some of life’s most difficult chapters.

Being a therapist is something I consider a genuine privilege. I get to sit with people during moments that can feel incredibly vulnerable and uncertain, and to hold space for their stories without judgement. I don’t take that trust lightly. It is an honor to witness the courage it takes to ask for help, process difficult experiences, and begin creating something different for yourself.

I believe that people are more than the hardest things they’ve experienced. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you… it is about creating a space where you can better understand you, heal from what you’ve been through, and feel more connected to the person you want to become.

A little more about me.

Outside of therapy, I’m a pretty normal person. I love spending time with my husband and our pets, traveling, crafting, trying new restaurants, watching Cubs baseball, and making a trip to Costco even when I definitely didn’t need anything.

I enjoy having a mix of adventures and quiet. Whether we’re exploring somewhere new or staying home for the weekend. I really value the little things that life has to offer.
